Come with us on a journey of discovery as we take in the southern Costa Blanca en-route to the stunning city of Alicante.  Alicante is know by many but explored by very few and has so much to offer, from its beautiful port and esplanade, the historic quarter with its maze of ancient streets that once formed part of the walled city, the vibrant central market and the shopping quarter with avenues lined with designer names and not to forget its castle perched high above Alicante keeping a watchful eye over the city.

No visit to the Costa Blanca is complete without a trip to it’s jewel in the crown “Guadalest”. This fortified village perched precariously on a mountain top, is surrounded by some of the highest points in the province of Alicante, the Sierra Aixorta, Sierra Aitana and Sierra Serrella. The Moors and Christians Fiesta (Moros y Cristianos) is a tradition dating back to the 16th Century, and commemorates Christians’ triumph after the great battle which took place in the 13th Century, ending the Moors’ 800 year rule of Spain.

The spectacular Three Kings procession is one of the highlights of Benidorm’s Christmas calendar, particularly for children, as it marks the arrival of their presents. The costumed trio ride through the streets, throwing sweets into the buzzing crowds.
