Leaving Benidorm and heading to Villajoyosa, the seaside town also known as "chocolate city", we will head inland and up to the village of Finestrat with its quirky "hanging houses" and dramatic backdrop of the Puig Campana mountain.  Passing around the back of the Sierra Cortina mountain we will then head up through the town of La Nucia and to the beautiful village of Polop where you can see the homme of Spanish writer "Gabriel Miró", visit the plaza de los chorros and go to the little magic coast museum, where you will see emblematic buildings of the Valencian community, painstaikingly recreated by hand, in miniature.  From here, we head through Callos D’en Sarrià and wind down through nispero and orange groves through Altea la Vella before making a stop at the old town of Altea.  Here you will have two hours of free time to have a bite to eat, visit the churc or take in the stunning sights from its viewing point.  We aim to be back around 17:00
